We Are Recognized at the “Melhores do ESG 2026” Awards in Brazil
This recognition is considered one of the most relevant ESG benchmarks in Brazil and
reinforces CMPC’s position as a leading reference in sustainability, innovation, and socioenvironmental responsibility in the country.
At the 2026 edition of the “Melhores do ESG” Awards, organized by the Brazilian media outlet Exame and held on May 26 in São Paulo, CMPC was recognized in the Paper, Pulp, and Forest Products category. This award, regarded as one of the main ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) benchmarks in Brazil, further strengthens CMPC’s position as one of the country’s leading companies in sustainability, innovation, and socioenvironmental responsibility.
The recognition confirms that CMPC’s strategy is aligned with best market practices and global sustainable development challenges. Key targets include reducing water consumption per ton by 25% by 2026, and cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 50% in Scope 1 and 2 by 2030, as well as by 37.5% in Scope 3 by 2035.
It was also highlighted that in 2025, the company achieved its goal of sending zero waste to landfills. In parallel, CMPC continues to promote a more diverse and inclusive workplace by increasing the participation of women across the organization and in leadership roles, as well as expanding the inclusion of employees with disabilities. For Antonio Lacerda, General Director of CMPC Pulp in Brazil, this recognition reaffirms the company’s commitment to economic and social development.
“We are very pleased to receive this award, as it recognizes a trajectory built on responsibility, innovation, and commitment to people and the environment. We will continue investing in economic and social development, always guided by our purpose of building a more sustainable future”.
