AI in action: optimizing logistics at CMPC

In an increasingly demanding environment, at CMPC we continue to strengthen our customer focus, driving a more agile, reliable, and needs-aligned logistics operation.
To advance this challenge, we have incorporated Artificial Intelligence tools that optimize dispatch scheduling and inventory control, enabling faster and more accurate decision-making across the entire operation.

The impact is already tangible: processes that previously took up to 2 hours can now be completed in around 10 minutes, thanks to algorithms that analyze historical and operational data in real time. This not only improves internal efficiency but also enhances our ability to respond to changes in demand.

These solutions are supported by an integrated data platform that connects key operational information, enabling better scenario anticipation, resource optimization, and coordination across the logistics chain. In this context, Artificial Intelligence plays a key role in supporting decision-making.

“The system does not replace the expert; rather, it acts as a digital co-pilot that suggests the most efficient planning. The planner retains the final decision, with the ability to adjust tasks, timelines, or required materials,” explained Matías Jory, CMPC’s Industrial Competitiveness Director.
